Elina Ruohonen: Ihmemaan Liisan katsomus ja kutsumus, 2850 €.
Elina Ruohonen, painting on acryllic panel, gets inspired by weird moments and unique animals. According to Elina, there needs to be something discoverable in a painting, some kind of a feeling of its existance and possibilities.
"A good artwork escapes from words but makes a strong impact."
Emmi Kallio: Luulin tulleeni salaiseen puutarhaan, 1400 €.
For Emmi Kallio, the most important part of painting is the process of seeking. She tells that she surrenders to the materials.
"I enjoy the physical experience, the movements of my hands and how the paint travels."
Timo Laitala: Nocturne Op.9, 1600 €.
Timo Laitala, living in a village in Kouvola, considers nature the huge composer whose artworks he tries to interpret without placing himself in the way of the viewer.
"Obviously, the idea is to transfer my own atmospheres and feelings. I've succeeded, if they get transmitted to the viewer while I manage to stay in the background."
